The England international was also not involved for the trip to Hull City earlier this week, and is not expected to make it back in time for the match against Garry Monk’s side.
Arsenal have had a little more luck with injuries recently as some key players have stayed fit for extended periods, though there is still no clear sign of a return for players such as Mikel Arteta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while Aaron Ramsey is also a doubt at the moment.
