Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers saw new signings Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli both fail to make any impact whatsoever this season and it’s understandable that Liverpool would be looking to sign a striker.
Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been a consistent performer since leaving Saint-Etienne for the Westfalenstadion back in July 2013, netting 27 goals in 50 Bundesliga starts, and one wonders if the 25 year old would be open to leaving Borussia Dortmund any time soon.
Contracted with the German side until 2018 Aubameyang would perhaps be tempted to move to a club who had Champions League action to offer but Liverpool have next to no chance of securing a top four finish and as such their reported £15m bid may be doomed to fail.
