Goal.com link the north London side to a renewed bid for long term target Sami Khedira whilst the Daily Star claim Arsene Wenger is chasing Karim Benzema.
Arsenal’s form since the turn of the year has left many fans of the Emirates Stadium side wondering what might have been, eight wins in their last nine Premier League fixtures helping to bring a sense of renewed optimism to the north London club, and the addition of world-class talents may help Wenger mount a genuine push for major honours.
Defensively minded midfielder Khedira is available on a free transfer in the summer and though a move back to the Bundesliga is likely, Schalke said to be hot on the heels of the German international, Wenger would do well to make a late charge for the World Cup winner.
Benzema will apparently be made available in the summer and would cost around £40m and though Arsenal’s attack has been very effective this season the addition of another strong striking option would not go amiss.
