The 44 year old had been strongly linked with a move to replace under-fire Etihad Stadium manager Manuel Pellegrini and took the chance to address the speculation in a press conference ahead of their Champions League semi-final clash with Barcelona.
“I’ve already said 200 million times – I’ll be here next season. That’s it,”
“I have a year left on my contract. Next season I will be here.” Guardiola added.
Pep Guardiola is into his second season at the Allianz Arena and has led Bayern Munich to a second successive Bundesliga title in recent weeks though his inability to secure a Champions League crown, and with a semi-final exit likely after a 3-0 defeat at the Nou Camp, has seemingly led to pressure on the Spaniard.
