It is believed that the England international is now looking for a property in his hometown, London.

Both Chelsea and the Gunners have expressed an interest in signing him this summer, after learning that he put talks of a contract extension with the Reds until the end of the season.

Sterling has already rejected committing to a new £90,000-per-week deal to stay at Anfield, which has understandably alerted some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Sterling still has close links to London, having come through the ranks of QPR’s youth side, and looks as though he has his heart set on a return to the city despite interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
