Gareth Bale to Manchester United almost a ‘done deal’

Gareth Bale’s rumoured summer move to Manchester United could be edging ever closer for the Real Madrid winger – if the comments of English football journalists Mark Ogden and John Richardson are to be believed.

The Welsh wizard is currently enduring a miserable time at the Santiago Bernabeu – taking the blame for every poor result from Los Blancos – and a sensational Premier League return is on the cards.

Telegraph reporter Mark Odgen and Sunday Express journalist John Richardson were speaking on Manchester United’s official TV station MUTV. Both believe that Bale will be making the switch to Old Trafford this summer.

Here’s what Mark Odgen had to say on the future of Bale…

Ogden goes to add that the Wales international’s domestic situation, in which his wife and daughter are living in the UK, combined with his struggles to learn the Spanish language, mean he will make a return to England in the summer.

And John Richardson echoes his comments; believing that a transfer is almost a ‘done deal’…

Richardson adds that Bale is feeling the strain of life in Madrid, saying “I know somebody very close to Gareth Bale and the public are not hearing the real thing. He’s very unhappy there and he’s unhappy with his treatment.”

According to reports from the Telegraph, the 25-year-old, who only moved to Real Madrid two seasons ago in a record-breaking £85.3m deal from Tottenham Hotspur, is close to agreeing a £300,000 per-week contract with the Red Devils. The Spanish giants are demanding a fee of at least £80m for his signature.
