Liverpool eyeing move for former Manchester United star

The 23-year-old has scored ten goals in 33 Premier League appearances for the relegated Clarets this season, which has caught the eye of several suitors. Their interest has also been piqued by the fact that his contract ends in the summer, meaning only a compensation fee will have to be paid to sign the forward.

The Daily Star had claimed that the Red Devils were no longer interested in the England Under 21 star, but the Mail still has them down as an option for Ings. Meanwhile David Moyes has been trying to tempt the youngster to La Liga with promises of regular football and the chance to catch England manager Roy Hodgson’s eye.

With the Merseyside club it is likely that Ings will have to spend some time on the bench behind the attacking talents of Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge. However, they do have the advantage of offering European football, be that in the Champions League or the Europa League.
