The politician is a big fan of the reigning French champions, and while British Prime Minister David Cameron can’t quite remember if he supports Aston Villa or West Ham United, ‘Sarko’ is regularly spotted at the Parc des Princes keeping tabs on his beloved PSG.

It seems the 60-year-old also has his own opinions on the club’s transfer policy as well.

During an impromptu Twitter Q&A, the former president was asked by one user to make sure that that Paris signed Pogba.

“Thank you for doing everything necessary for Pogba to sign with PSG,” @AntoineFunky began, “kisses to Nasser [Al-Khelaifi].”

The user even got a reply from Sarkozy, who admitted that he too would love to see the Bleus midfielder at the club.

“I got your message on Pogba,” the president replied, on his @NicolasSarkozy handle, “I share your opinion, we all need to contribute.”

If Paris are to recruit the former Manchester United man, they will likely face stiff competition for his signature.

Real Madrid and Barcelona have also been linked to the Juventus man, while the Red Devils have been linked with a move that would take him back to Old Trafford.
