It has been revealed by the Daily Telegraph that Hull City star Jake Livermore tested positive for cocaine after their match with Crystal Palace and won’t play for the Tigers again this season.

The midfielder has been a key member of Steve Bruce’s side this season, only missing one of their 36 Premier League matches. In his 35 games he has only scored once and assisted another though. With the Tigers currently in the bottom three with two games to go it will be a major blow to their hopes of staying in the division to be without him.
They are playing against Livermore’s former club Tottenham on the weekend, and need a win to keep up with Newcastle United and Sunderland. The North East rivals are both two points above Hull.
