AS Monaco closed in on a return to the Champions League with a comfortable 2-0 victory over already-relegated FC Metz in the French top flight.

The Club of the Principality started the season slowly, be have improved immensely under Leonardo Jardim and recently overhauled Olympique de Marseille.

While both OM and AS Saint-Etienne could still make the third spot, Monaco hold a two-point advantage heading into the final match of the campaign.

They took the lead against Les Grenats with a 45th-minute effort from Bernardo Silva.

The Portuguese forward provided the assist for the second goal, as Valere Germain—who entered as a substitute only two minutes beforehand—fired past the beleaguered David Oberhauser.

The goal was made possible by Kondogbia, who picked out Silva with a magnificent, measured long-rang pass.

The midfielder is highly-rated for his powerful play, his midfield presence, his driving runs and his long-range shooting, but this delightful long-range pass demonstrates the player’s technical prowess as well.

Will Arsene Wenger step in to acquire the talented midfielder this summer?
