Chelsea have been linked to a surprise £7 million move for Bursaspor youngster Enes Unal by The Sun.
The Blues are worried that a rival will jump in if they don’t make a move for the 18-year-old soon, and are willing to back up their interest with a major transfer fee to make sure he doesn’t go elsewhere. However, despite this interest the teenager could well end up out on loan with many of the Stamford Bridge outfit’s other recent signings.
Unla has attracted this interest after making his international debut for Turkey this season at the tender age of 17-years-old. Also, since making his debut for Bursaspor in the last campaign he has played 33 times in the Super Lig, albeit with 32 of those appearances coming from the bench. He has four goals for the club so far.
With Didier Drogba now 37-years-old and looking likely to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer, Unal could be part of the plan to replace the club legend. The Ivorian will certainly leave some big boots to fill, having scored 164 goals in 379 appearances during two spells with the Blues.
