Everton target Claudio Beauvue found the net as En Avant de Guingamp beat FC Toulouse 2-1 in Ligue 1.
The Franco-Guadeloupean forward is enjoying a fine campaign in the top flight, and his form has prompted talk of a national-team call-up. It has also resulted in reported transfer interest in the forward, with the likes of Stoke City, Hull City and West Ham United all being linked to the EAG star.
However, the Toffees are believed to lead the race for the attacker, who guided his club to the Europa League last term.
The 27-year-old has admitted that he is considering a move away from the club, although he may yet remain in France, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly impressed by his abilities.
He demonstrated his class again on Saturday as Guingamp played they last home match of the season.
They took the lead through Christophe Mandanne in the fourth minute, although star Tunisian forward Wissam Ben Yedder responded for the Roses just before the half-hour mark.
However, Beauvue put the home side back in the lead with a superb headed goal just after the break.
Despite losing defender Christophe Kerbrat to a red card on the hour mark, Guingamp held on for the three times.
It looks likely to be the last time that the forward features at the Stade du Roudourou…at least for some time.
