Queens Park Rangers and Leicester City forwards Charlie Austin and Jamie Vardy are brought in as among the options up front, joining big names like Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck. However, there is no call-up for in-form West Bromwich Albion starlet Saido Berahino, who scored a brace against Chelsea in the Premier League earlier this week.
Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton is another new member of the squad for this round of fixtures, though he surely remains behind Joe Hart and Rob Green in the pecking order.
Elsewhere, Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere returns to the England fold after a frustrating season hit by several niggling injuries, while Liverpool winger Adam Lallana is another injury-prone player who is now fit to represent his country again.
