The 25 year old Martinez only joined Leones Negros last summer, but the young starlet was the only bright spot in a season which saw his side relegated back to the Mexican second tier.

It was thought that Club America, Cruz Azul, and Monterrey were leading the race for his signature, but they have now been surprisingly joined by the Italian giants.

Martinez, who possesses a devastating turn of pace and is an accurate finisher, was Leones Negros top scorer in the season – almost single handedly saving them from the drop.

The Ecuador international began his career in his home country playing for Quito, before moving to Club Tijuana in 2012. He has 12 appearances for Ecuador and has scored two goals.
