This infographic by Sky Sports shows that the Reds have a 100% win record without the unsettled forward in their line-up. In the five games that Sterling has been forced to sit out this term, Liverpool have won maximum points. With him, however, they have just a 40% win rate – though he’s certainly not to blame for their poor form.

The 20-year-old, according to BBC Sport, told boss Brendan Rodgers, before the clash with Chelsea earlier in May, that he wanted to leave the club at the end of the season. A further meeting between his representatives and Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre was set to take place on Friday, but was publicly cancelled following controversial comments from his agent.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern Munich [via the Daily Star] have all sensationally been linked with a bid for his signature.

In a press conference before the final weekend of the Premier League season, Rodgers told reporters that the winger will see out the remaining two years of his contract on Merseyside [via Sky Sports].

Expect a busy summer at Anfield…
