The likes of Cristian Ansaldi and Jesus Gamez have filled in at left-back for Diego Simeone’s side this season, but Atleti are looking to improve this position during the summer transfer window.

Kurzawa is keen to leave Monaco at the end of the campaign, according to Le 10 Sport, and has emerged as one possibility to fill the void.

However, should Simeone look to recruit the France international, he may need to fight off competition from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City [all via the Express], Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus [both via Le 10 Sport] – all of whom are all believed to be keen on the 22-year-old.

Mundo Deportivo report that the Colchoneros have also targeted the defender and may be planning a move this summer.

However, another option for Atletico Madrid, according to Le 10 Sport, is Chelsea defender Filipe Luis.

The Brazil international won the Liga BBVA title and the Europa League with Atletico, and was a runner-up in last year’s Champions League, before moving to Stamford Bridge last summer for a fee of £15.8 million.

However, the 29-year-old has struggled in England, making only nine Premier League starts and failing displace Jose Mourinho’s first-choice full-back Cesar Azpilicueta.
