Paul Pogba has been advised not to consider a summer move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, as rumours linking him with a move away from Juventus continue to intensify.

The midfielder is set to be one of the most sought-after protagonists of the transfer window: Barcelona have publicly confirmed their desire to sign the France international [via the Daily Mail], however, the Catalonians may face competition from their eternal rivals Real Madrid, according to the Mirror.

Similarly, Manchester United have been linked with a move for their former starlet, having previously allowed the player to leave the club in 2012, according to ESPN.

Finally, Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on bringing the player, himself a Parisian, back to French football.

PSG have made advances for the player, according to Le 10 Sport, but financial fair-play restrictions may scupper Laurent Blanc and Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s ambitions for the player.

However, speaking to Le Parisian on Thursday, Pogba’s best friend, Mahamadou Konte, has advised the player to ignore PSG and move to one of his other suitors.

“A giant of Europe?” Konte began, “there are better sporting choices than PSG.

“I think that Paul should develop in another championship than Ligue 1.

“In Italy,” he continued, “he can concentrate on his job. At Paris, there would be too much media madness.”

Might United be able to take advantage of any desire on Pogba’s behalf to eschew a return to France?

Pogba, who recently helped Juve to the Italian title, is set to compete against one of his admirers, Barca, in the Champions League final.
