Arsenal could lose one of their biggest names to Southampton in this summer’s transfer window, with the Saints reportedly plotting a shock move to sign goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
The Polish international has fallen out of favour at the Emirates Stadium this season, with Arsene Wenger preferring summer signing David Ospina as his number one for the second half of the 2014/15 campaign.
Although Southampton already have the excellent Fraser Forster as their first choice between the sticks, it is now suggested that they could also look to add Szczesny as a challenger to the England shot-stopper.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal will let the 25-year-old leave the club, and much will surely depend on their success in bringing in top target Petr Cech from Chelsea in close-season.
Still, according to Spanish source Fichajes.net, Szczesny is a top priority target for Southampton in an ambitious summer move of their own.
