Man United striker Robin Van Persie holds crisis exit talks with agent

Axed Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie is believed to have held crunch talks with his agent about his future at the club after being dropped from the side recently, according to The Sun.

With just slightly over a year left to run on his current deal at Old Trafford, the club are yet to take any steps to extend it.

And after being left out of United’s last two match day squads, RVP met with agent Kees Vos in order to discuss a potential move to Turkey this summer.

Both Fenerbahce and Besiktas are keen to make him a lucrative offer, but United boss Louis Van Gaal has told the player that he will sit down with him to discuss his future next week after the season comes to a close.

The Turkish clubs want to make him an offer of £220,000-a-week over three years – a move that he was prepared to reject until recent events have caused him to rethink.
