This is despite current Reds boss Brendan Rodgers claiming on Friday that he is ‘150%’ sure he will still be at Anfield next season. The Northern Irishman has come under pressure after failing to qualify for the Champions League and going out of the FA Cup and the Capital One Cup at the semi final stage to continue his trophyless tenure.

Klopp bid an emotional farewell to the Westfalenstadion on Saturday, with it confirmed that he will be leaving BVB in the summer. The 47-year-old still has the DFB-Pokal Cup final to go, potentially giving him a fairytale ending to his tenure with the Bundesliga giants. However, people have already started to think about his future, with odds on him being the next Liverpool manager being cut from 5/1 to 2/1.

The German could well be a good fit for the Merseyside club, with them being similar to Dortmund. Both are historically big clubs with passionate fans, and both are up against better financed rivals in their domestic leagues. Could Klopp be the man for the Reds?
