A trio of English giants — Manchester United, Chelsea [both Daily Star] and Arsenal [Metro] — have all been linked with the France international, although the EPL heavyweights face competition from PSG, who have identified the forward as a summer transfer target.

The Daily Star also report that Bayern Munich are keen on the Macon-born star.

After a slow start at Atleti, Griezmann has become a key figure in Diego Simeone’s side and enjoyed a magnificent maiden campaign at the Vicente Calderon.

The former Real Sociedad was one of La Liga’s outstanding individuals over the last season, and sits behind only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the Spanish scoring charts.

Beyond these two, Griezmann ends the campaign tied with Neymar in third in the campaign, having bagged 22 goals in 37 league appearances.

El Mundo Deportivo report that the French champions might have already made an approach for the 24-year-old as they look to add this undisputed talent to their glittering forward line.

However, it remains to be seen whether Atletico would accept a bid for one of their top stars, while Le 10 Sport doubt whether the left-sider would agree to a departure from the club only one year ahead of the 2016 European Championships in France.

It is worth noting that, according to the Express, the player has a £47 million release clause; should PSG or any of Griezmann’s suitors match this fee, the matter might be out of Simeone’s hands.

The versatile forward could replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the pinnacle of the Parisian forward line, having played there regularly for Atleti this season. However, he could also operate on the left could Ezequiel Lavezzi complete his mooted move to Liverpool.
