Arsenal winger Lukas Podoslki, who has spent the second half of the season on loan at Inter Milan, is closing in on a transfer to Galatasaray and could be unveiled as early as next week, according to reports from Italy.
Following just one goal and one assist in Serie A, The Nerazzurri aren’t likely to make his loan deal permanent, as Roberto Mancini looks to rebuild his squad in the summer.
The 29-year-old has never really settled at the Emirates since moving from Cologne in 2012, and despite [in quotes via Sky Sports] expressing his desire to return to Arsenal when his spell in Italy comes to an end, his career under Arsene Wenger seems over.
Wenger, therefore, is set to cash in on the Germany international before his contract expires at the end of next season.
Italian news outlet SportMediaset [cited by Sky Sports] claim that Galatasaray, who expressed interest in his signature last summer [via Inside Futbol], are just days away from agreeing a deal with Podolski.
It’s reported that he could be unveiled by the Turkish outfit as early as next week.
