The Gunners are one of many clubs to have been linked with the 27-year-old, who is looking ever more likely to quit the Nou Camp at the end of this season after falling out of favour in Luis Enrique’s first-team plans.

Pedro has spent his entire career so far with Barca, winning multiple La Liga titles as well as the 2011 Champions League, when he scored in the final against Man United in  3-1 win.

It is now claimed that Arsenal have made an opening offer and seem likely to have it accepted by the Catalan giants, though it may be that they are awaiting other bids from interested clubs, which also include Inter Milan, according to the Metro.

With Theo Walcott’s future in some doubt this summer, Pedro would be an ideal replacement at the Emirates Stadium.
