Current Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has come under pressure recently after fifth in the Premier League and being knocked out of the FA Cup by Aston Villa. A final day of the season 6-1 thrashing from Stoke City, summed up their terrible final quarter of the season. Trouble over the Anfield future of Raheem Sterling has also put the Northern Irishman’s position under scrutiny in the last few weeks.

Klopp is leaving BVB after their DFB-Pokal Cup final against Wolfsburg, ending a very successful seven years with the German side. He has brought two Bundesliga titles to the Westfalenstadion and taken them to the Champions League final in that time. Recent campaigns have been restricted by star players such as Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze leaving the side though.

It had been thought that Rodgers was safe after the 47-year-old planned a break from football, but with him potentially changing his mind could this make owners Fenway Sports Group think about getting rid of their current boss?
