In reports from Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport, Roma are considering an offer for the forward in the transfer window, and will call upon the Bosnian’s international team-mate and friend Miralm Pjanic to help facilitate the transfer.

The report claims that Giallorossi’s priority signing is a striker as, despite finishing second in Serie A, the club’s top scorer was attacking midfielder Adem Ljajic who, far from prolific, netted just eight goals.

The former Wolfsburg star is rumoured to be open to a move away from the Etihad and would welcome the opportunity to play in Italy’s top flight.

However, the 29-year-old’s wage demands, along with the fee that Manchester City are after for his signature, could prove problematic.

Dzeko has made just 11 Premier League starts this season, scoring four goals, and looks to be heading out of Manchester in the summer with Sergio Aguero and Wilfried Bony likely to be the favoured duo in attack next term.
