The Belgian was sent off for the horrific stamp on the 29-year-old during their match last Sunday. Despite being down to ten men the Red Devils still managed to draw the match, and the Tigers were relegated on the final day of the Premier League season. In the end the result didn’t matter as Newcastle United beat West Ham 2-0 at St. James’ Park.

However, this will be little consolation to McShane, who was one of six players released by Hull on Thursday. The Ireland international had been at the North East club for past seven years, enduring two relegations from and enjoying two promotions to the top flight.

He should be okay to sign for whoever picks him up next though, with the stud induced gash on his thigh looking like it is healing well. It still looks like Fellaini deserves the three match ban he received though!

Healing well everyone. Looks like Edward Scissor hands has just give me a leg massage.
