According to the site Super Deporte Valencia are trying to buy Moreno in case Nicolas Otamendi decides to leave the club this summer. The site reports that Valencia would be willing to trade Victor Ruiz for the Espanyol defender.

Valencia have supposedly already made contact with the player’s agent but haven’t come to an agreement yet. It means Moreno’s future is still in doubt, with some Premier League clubs also showing interest in the player, especially Arsenal.

Since his arrival at Espanyol in 2011 the Mexico-born Moreno has been a key player for his club. Before his move to the Spanish side Moreno played for AZ Alkmaar for two years during which time he won the Eredivisie title and the Dutch Super Cup.

Moreno has also won the World U17 Championship for Mexico in 2005 and was part of the Mexican national team during the last World Cup in Brazil.
