Raheem Sterling will only stay at Liverpool if Jurgen Klopp takes over as manager

The Gunners have been linked to Martinez for over a year, and would have to pay around £27 million to sign the 28-year-old. Since signing for the Portuguese giants the Colombian has an amazing 81 goals in 117 matches, and would be a major addition to the Emirates as they look to build for a Premier League title challenge.

However, the North London club could still miss out on the forward, meaning that they would switch their attentions to Benteke. The 24-year-old has been impressive at Villa Park since the arrival of Tim Sherwood as manager. He has 13 goals in 17 matches under the former Tottenham boss, and this has also piqued the interest of Liverpool.

The Reds are attempting to bring in a striker after failing to properly replace Luis Suarez last summer. However, they may find it difficult to get Benteke if Arsenal join the race, with Arsene Wenger able to offer the forward Champions League football at the Emirates.
