Real Madrid release official statement denying approach for Paul Pogba

Juve could seal a historic treble having already clinched the Serie A title plus the Italian Cup, and a date with Barcelona in the Champions League final is to come next weekend.

Pogba has been in excellent form – once more – in their trophy-filled season, but Allegri isn’t content with the performances of the Frenchman and believes he is far from the finished article.

“Pogba has enormous qualities but, when he lowers his concentration, he makes mistakes that are avoidable,” as quoted by the Daily Mail.

“This is an important point of his growth, he needs to stop showboating in midfield.”

Nonetheless, despite the comments of his manager, the 22-year-old is still being linked with an exit from Turin with Manchester City and Barcelona, according to the Daily Star, set to go head-to-head over his signature.

Real Madrid had been rumoured to be interested, but a bizarre statement, posted on the club’s official website earlier this week, detailed their denial in any contact with the midfielder over a summer transfer and the Spanish giants look to have ruled themselves out of the chase.
