The Costa Rica international impressed in his country’s run to the quarter finals of the 2014 World Cup last summer, and subsequently joined Los Blancos less than a year ago. However, last season he played second fiddle to Iker Casillas, making just 11 times throughout the campaign despite his rival’s poor form.

The 28-year-old is now expected to leave the Bernabeu to make room for Manchester United star David De Gea, who has been heavily linked with a move to the La Liga giants. His current deal runs until 2020 with the Galacticos, but has a release clause of just £10.5 million.
