According to the Daily Mail the former Everton man earlier told the press: “‘Angel Di Maria would be a good signing for PSG. He is a world-class player.”
However, he has now hit back at the allegations, claiming that he said no such thing. Certainly it would be surprising if the 27-year-old had told one of his squadmates that he would do well away from Old Trafford.
Di Maria’s future at the Red Devils has come in to question after an up and down debut campaign in the Premier League. The Argentina international managed ten assists and four goals in 32 appearances after signing for British record £59.7 million last summer. Although not a terrible record, there have been some reports that he is unsettled in England, such as this from the Daily Telegraph.
This is in contrast to Fellaini, who has turned things around in his second campaign with United. After struggling in his first 12 months the Belgian has impressed since Louis van Gaal took over as manager.
He tweeted:
Seems I have been misquoted from @telefoot_TF1 interview !!!! ????

I said that Di Maria would be a good signing for any club as he is a great player. I also said if I were him I would STAY at @ManUtd
