Manchester United look set to beat Arsenal to the signing of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal this summer after Louis van Gaal revived his interest in the Chilean international.

The 28-year-old has performed superbly in Serie A again this season, establishing himself as one of the best in the world in his position and helping his club to a fourth consecutive title win and a place in the Champions League final.
This fine form has attracted interest from Arsenal, though it looks like Arsene Wenger’s quotes ruling out a move for Vidal could put United in the driving seat again as van Gaal also looks to strengthen in the middle of the park.
According to the Daily Star, United will now look to get one over their rivals with a bid for the South American battler, having tried and failed to sign him last summer.
Reports elsewhere also suggest United could beat Arsenal to the signing of Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin.
