David De Gea says goodbye to Manchester United staff ahead of imminent Real Madrid transfer

Louis van Gaal is likely to see first choice custodian David De Gea join Real Madrid and the Dutch boss has made 28 year old French international Lloris his first choice replacement.

The White Hart Lane star has hinted that he may leave the north London side this summer, stating that there comes a time “to think about yourself”.

This would indicate that having failed to hit the heights at Spurs, failing once again to secure a Champions League berth, the former Lyon man may be ready to move on.

Though Man United have Victor Valdes on hand as a back-up to De Gea it appears van Gaal has his heart set on a new number one and Lloris is rightly considered one of the most consistent performers in European football.
