In an interview published on the official PSG website after his contract renewal he said he was very happy and that this season had been the best of his entire career so far. “I hope to keep winning titles here and to play a Champions League final with this team, that’s my main objective now” he said.

He said he thought they could get to the final in the next few years. “Why not next season? That’s my aim, to win the Champions League, to play a final with Paris Saint-Germain is my focus” he said.

After an excellent season with PSG, he has just been selected by Argentina’s national team to play in the Copa America in Chile later this month.

Pastore arrived to PSG from Palermo in 2011, but it wasn’t until this last season that was able to show his full potential. He has been a key player for PSG in winning three Ligue 1 titles (2013, 2014 and 2015), one French Cup  (2015) and two League Cups (2014 and 2015).
