Milner to Liverpool: 4 reasons Man City midfielder would be great signing for Reds
The 29 year old has turned down the offer of a new Man City contract, said to be worth £165k a week, and will move to Anfield where he will stand a better chance of securing the regular first team action he has been unable to cement at the Etihad Stadium of late.
Such a move would offer Brendan Rodgers a cost effective replacement for Steven Gerrard, with Milner capable of filling a central midfield berth as well as wide roles, and could be a very useful addition to the Liverpool set-up.
Milner started just 18 Premier League fixtures last season and will hope to re-ignite his career at Liverpool with Brendan Rodgers no doubt to strengthen his squad this summer after a disappointing campaign.
