The 33 year old found himself playing second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois this season and isn’t likely to want to continue to warm the Blues bench much longer.

When approached to discuss his future at the Stamford Bridge outfit the Czech Republic international adopted an honest response.

“I will fly back now and join the national team. Then when the season is over I will weigh up my options and decide.

“I won’t think about it now. When the decision is made I will tell you.

“At the moment it’s all just speculation. I’m not even thinking about it.

“I’m just going back to join the national team and then I will think about it.”

When asked whether he’d played his last game for Chelsea the long serving fan favourite simply stated;

“I don’t know.”

Man United’s interest in Cech is presumably with a view to replacing David De Gea, the Spaniard seemingly edging towards a Real Madrid switch, whilst Arsene Wenger will see Cech as a far better starting option than either Wojciech Szczesny or David Ospina.
