The menacing hitman has surely outgrown EAG and looks set for a transfer this summer.

The 27-year-old bagged 17 goals in 36 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, while also contributing five goals during eight matches in the Europa League.

His efforts in attack helped Guingamp to tenth in the French top fight, and has attracted the interest of many suitors in both France and England.

Earlier this week, it looked like OM were particularly keen on the forward and it was reported that the Stade Velodrome outfit were closing in on a move.

However, speaking to RMC [via Le 10 Sport], Gourvennec has denied that a bid has been made.

“I don’t believe the club have received an offer from Marseille,” he began, “the market has opened just opened, there are things which will evolve.

“From a sporting point of view, Marseille are always an important step for a player. It’s a club that leaves an impact.

“I was there for 14 months [as a player in the 1990s] and I was very touched.”

News that OM are yet to move for the player may open the door to one of his other suitors.

France Football [via Le 10 Sport] report that West Ham United, Everton and West Bromwich Albion are all keen on the forward, while there is interest from unnamed clubs in Germany.

Similarly, several bigger dogs in France are believed to be looking at the striker; Lyon, Saint-Etienne and LOSC Lille have been listed as Beauvue’s admirers.
