The Spanish giants are growing increasingly confident that they will sign Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea for around £30m, with the Red Devils unable to keep the 24-year-old with one year remaining on his contract.

It looks as though De Gea has made the decision to quit Old Trafford and will not be signing a new contract with the club, meaning United risk losing him for free at the end of next season.

£30m for a goalkeeper will surely be seen as a good deal for the Premier League giants, even if De Gea’s superb form in 2014/15 has been a key part of their success in getting back into the top four.

Still, according to The Sun, Real looks likely to be his next destination and United will now have to plan for his replacement.
