The Hull City defender is attracting Premier League interest after his side’s relegation to the Championship this season, having impressed with his displays in the English top flight in 2014/15.

The international contributed two assists in 24 EPL outings and was a rare ray of light for Steve Bruce’s beleaguered Tigers.

Still only 21, Robertson looks like having a great career ahead of him, showing plenty of ability going forward as well as looking solid at the back, making him a complete modern full-back.

The youngster notably scored in a friendly against England last year, showing he can impress on the international stage as well, and the Daily Star now names the three Premier League clubs said to be vying for his signature this summer.

Arsenal already have Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs as options at left-back, though the latter lost his place in Arsene Wenger’s side this season, while Monreal’s improved form has attracted some whispers of interest from La Liga duo Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, according to claims by the Daily Express in the last few days.

With the Spaniard’s future uncertain, might Wenger consider Robertson as a good option to replace the Spain international?

Chelsea are also not in immediate need of a new left-back, with two established stars in Cesar Azpilicueta and Filipe Luis battling for a spot in Jose Mourinho’s starting lineup, although it has again been suggested that Atletico Madrid are looking at raiding the Premier League side for one of those, as they consider re-signing the Brazilian, according to reports in the London Evening Standard back in April.

The Pensioners have also been linked to another talented young left-back, Augsburg’s Ghana international Abdul Rahman Baba [L’Equipe], lending credence to the suggestion that they are in the market for a new player in this position.

Villa generally look in need of an overhaul after their humiliating 4-0 FA Cup final defeat at the hands of Arsenal, with defensive reinforcements clearly needed for a side that conceded 57 goals and finished 17th in 2014/15.
