This could be good news for the Red Devils, with such unreasonable demands perhaps pushing the Wales international towards leaving the Bernabeu. However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the 25-year-old may get what he wants. New manager Rafa Benitez is apparently keen to try him on the left with Ronaldo operating as a centre-forward.

However, this solution would leave current main striker Karim Benzema out in the cold, so may not be what the former Liverpool boss decides to do ultimately. It remains to be seen if Ronaldo would accept playing as a central striker, and it would take some brilliant management from Benitez to get the approach he reportedly craves.

Bale made his name for Tottenham Hotspur playing on the left, famously scoring a hat trick against Inter Milan in the Champions League. After a troubled second campaign with Los Blancos where even the fans have turned on him, the wideman may be open with a move back to the Premier League.
