This may not be the best news for fans of the North London club. The 31-year-old is on a £100,000 a week deal according to the Daily Mail, and this must be taking up a lot of manager Mauricio Pochettino’s wage bill. With the side needing to strengthen in order to challenge for the Champions League qualification places, the Argentine will surely want to shift his underperforming striker from the squad.
The former Arsenal star scored just two goals in 17 appearances this season, struggling to match the heroics of fellow forward Harry Kane. The 21-year-old put his elder to shame by netting 32 times in all competitions during the campaign.
It would seem that a man called Mehdi Isik has been pretending to be the Togo international’s agent and trying to sell him. Maybe he was a Tottenham fan?
