Arsenal are the latest club to be linked with a shock bid to sign one of the game’s modern greats up front this summer, as they go head-to-head with Liverpool for Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swedish international is possibly on his way out of the Parc des Princes on the cheap in this transfer window, despite another highly impressive season with 29 goals in all competitions.
The 33-year-old is perhaps heading towards the end of his great career, with PSG ready to cash in on him while they can and accept a fairly low £11m offer to let him leave this year.
This has alerted Arsenal, who notably came close to signing Ibrahimovic as a youngster, though he refused to go on trial with the Gunners and later ended up playing for a number of the biggest clubs in the world.
Still, according to the Metro, he may now find his way to the Emirates Stadium after all this time as his PSG future looks in doubt.
