Porto are waiting for Diego Simeone’s final decision about Raul Jimenez, ahead of tying up a loan deal for the striker.
The Portuguese newspaper Ojogo claimed that the Atletico Madrid striker is still in Porto’s plans. They add that Jimenez could go on loan to Porto for next season and this could happen in the next few days, as soon as Simeone lets him go.
It would be a good move for Jimenez – who would presumably have more minutes with Porto compared to the scarce opportunities he has had with Atletico Madrid.
Furthermore, the adaptation process should be very smooth – he would be playing next to his fellow Mexicans Hector Herrera (midfielder) and Diego Reyes (defender).
Jimenez, 24, arrived at Atletico Madrid last year after a deal for 10.5 million EUR with Club America, signing a contract until 2020.
