The news was revealed via the club’s official Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon and the Spaniard has now put pen-to-paper on an well-deserved extension.

Enrique was reportedly on the verge of losing his job back in January following defeat against Real Sociedad [via Daily Star Sport], however, he managed to turn things around at the Camp Nou to lead the club to La Liga, Copa Del Rey and Champions League success in his first season in charge.

The 45-year-old repaired the damage that former Barca boss Gerardo Martino had left from the 2013-14 campaign and any doubts of his future can now be put to rest.

Enrique joins right-back Dani Alves in committing his future to the Catalan giants after the Brazilian penned a two-year deal to end speculation of a switch to the Barclays Premier League.
