Arsenal and Valencia are apparently also interested in the 28-year-old, but it is the other trio of clubs that have taken the lead in proceedings. The Rossoneri are willing to pay the Colombia international’s full €35 million release clause, while the Mancunian sides are trying to get the price reduced but aren’t having much luck.

However, the forward would prefer a move to either the Etihad or Old Trafford if the clubs are able to negotiate a fee. This is despite already agreeing a contract in principle with the San Siro outfit if a deal with a deal can’t be agreed with the Premier League duo.

This cohort of teams is interested in the striker because of his brilliant goalscoring record. In 117 appearances for the Primeira Liga giants he has netted 81 times, and the only real surprise is that someone hasn’t already tried to take the striker away from the Estádio do Dragão.
