The Ligue 1 outfit are said to be keen on swooping for Everton winger Kevin Mirallas and believe the lure of Champions League football will be enough to entice him away from Goodison Park this summer.

The Belgian international has one year remaining on his deal with the Merseyside outfit and talks over an extension have been put on hold until the start of pre-season.

Monaco’s interest in the 27-year-old could be good news for Spurs in their attempts to bring Martial to White Hart Lane during the transfer window.

SkySports reported earlier this month that the North London outfit have opened talks over a move for the 19-year-old, who has been likened to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.

The French U-21 international favours the left-wing which enables him to cut in on his stronger right foot to wreak havoc for the opposition defence and if the Ligue 1 side can sign Mirallas as a replacement, then Martial could be exciting fans at the Lane next season.

Martial scored nine goals in 35 league appearances for Monaco last season as they ended the campaign in third place and secured Champions League football once again.
