For the first time in his Stamford Bridge career, the Blues veteran is no longer the club’s first-choice in between the posts, and for a keeper of such quality – few can deny that Cech certainly deserves better than to be warming a substitutes bench.
The Czech Republic international is poised to leave west London in the summer – but isn’t expected to go too far. The 33-year-old doesn’t wish to leave the English capital with his family settled in the city, and is said to favour a move to rivals Arsenal [via Sky Sports].
Theo Walcott – Arsenal
Arsene Wenger handed the England international a start in the FA Cup final and it is expected that such a move from the French manager could have persuaded the winger to commit his future at the Emirates.
Nonetheless, his current deal expires next summer, and with no contract extension having been signed, his future in north London is still up for question.
