Benedito hopes to win the presidency during upcoming elections next month and clearly talking up his chances of signing French international Pogba does his cause no harm.

The businessman stated;

“I have spoken to Pogba,”

“First, I contacted Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli, then spoke directly with the player.

“They have proposed an annual salary of €12m (£8.6m) after tax and a transfer fee of €80m (£57.5m).”

Agusti Benedito registered his views with regards to the club’s sponsorship deal with Qatar Sports Investment, which has a year to run.

“They represent the finance of international jihadist terrorism,”

“We have one, two or even three alternatives which will pay more money than Qatar.” he added.

Pogba enjoyed a hugely successful campaign last term, playing a key role in his side’s capturing of a domestic double as well as helping to guide Juventus to a Champions League final.

A move to the Nou Camp this summer seems unlikely given Barcelona are currently serving a transfer ban that will run until January 2016.
