The winger, who has one year remaining on his deal at the Emirates Stadium, is set to resume contract talks with the North London outfit now that he has returned from international duty with England.

The report suggests the Gunners plan to reward Walcott with a brand new long-term deal which will see him earn as much as Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, who are reportedly on £140k-a-week.

News of Walcott’s new deal is sure to disappoint both Brendan Rodgers and Jose Mourinho, who are both reportedly interested in the 26-year-old.

Walcott finished the season in style as he scored a hat-trick against West Brom on the final day of the Premier League season and then scored the crucial opener in the 4-0 FA Cup final win against Aston Villa at Wembley.
