The 25 year old Ukraine international came close to moving to Anfield 18 months ago and quotes attributed to the wide-man would imply Brendan Rodgers has a good chance to finally sign the player this summer.

‘My priority is to play in England. There is where I want to continue my career and I am going to do it,’ Konoplyanka has stated.

Stoke City and Tottenham are also known to be keen on the Dnipro attacker, who helped his side to reach the Europa League final, but given his previous association with a move to Merseyside there is every chance Rodgers could finally get his man.

Brendan Rodgers has already secured the signings of Danny Ings and James Milner, both players having been free agents, and one imagines the Liverpool manager will not be spending anywhere near as freely as he was this time last summer.
